Vinho Verde

Located in the Northwest of Portugal, Vinhos Verdes is the largest Portuguese wine region. The name comes from the lush green vegetation that covers its whole landscape. 

The region’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, together with a network of rivers which direct Atlantic winds inland, accounts for its cool, rainy climate the humidity, afternoon cloud cover and the sea breezes help to moderate the high summer temperatures, but also help to develop a distinctive character in each varietal.

The natural conditions are ideal for the production of white wines. Typically mineral, aromatic, low in alcohol and high in freshness, lightness and elegance.
