J. Cabral Almeida began in 2010 as a winemaker’s quest to show the rich diversity of the portuguese terroirs.
The place where it all started was the Vinhos Verdes wine region. Meanwhile the company has grown from its origins by expanding into other two historical wine regions with a very deep tradition, the Dão and Douro Valley.

Harvest
Careful hand sorting, gentle destemming, then transferred to small, open-top tanks. Fermentation with native yeast at the medium temperature of 79F. At the last third of fermentation the wine was racked into used 750 liters french oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation and aging was done.
